Ultimate Oil Blend
A cold-pressed organic seed oil, high in omega-3, in amber glass. The product page states 11g of ALA per 30ml, and that the oil is refrigerated, not heat-stable and not for cooking. Sizes stated on the page: 250ml and 500ml. Vegan and dairy free.
Suggested use on the oil page: 30ml (2 tablespoons) daily, added to food or drinks. Do not heat. Refrigerate after opening and use within the period stated on the bottle.
The same page states: alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2g of ALA.
Ultimate Oil Blend capsules
The capsule page says this is the same cold-pressed organic seed oil, with 0.8g of ALA per 2 capsules, no refrigeration and no taste. Sizes stated: 60, 90 or 180 capsules.
How the capsule page says to take them: two capsules daily, with or without food. Store in a cool, dry place.
Beyond Greens
An organic fermented greens powder. The page says each 8g serving starts as 33g of fresh ingredients, and that an 8g serving is high in fibre, vitamin K, vitamin B12 and chromium, with chromium at 112% of the daily reference intake. Sizes stated: 125g and 255g. Vegan and dairy free.
How the page says to take it: mix 8g, two teaspoons, with water or juice, or add it to a smoothie or food, and start smaller than the full serving. Refrigerate after opening and consume within 90 days of opening.
The same page says the serving is set for adults, and to ask a healthcare professional before giving it to a child. It also says the blend is high in vitamin K (67µg per 8g, 90% of the reference intake) and that people taking warfarin or another vitamin K antagonist anticoagulant should speak to their doctor or anticoagulation clinic before adding it. The pack contains liquorice root; the product page says to read that note before buying if pregnant, breastfeeding, or if high blood pressure applies.
Microbiotics
The pages use microbiotic for these live-culture products. They state there are no authorised UK health claims for live bacteria.
- Babies & Toddler's Blend: powder for children up to five. The page says it mixes into breast milk, formula or food. It contains traces of milk and soya and is not suitable if the child has a milk or soya allergy. Refrigerate.
- Children's Blend: capsules, formula starts at 5. One capsule daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Capsules can be opened into cool food or drink. Refrigerate.
- Adult's Blend: for adults aged 15 and over. One capsule daily. Refrigerate. The page says it contains traces of milk and soya and is not suitable if you have a milk or soya allergy.
- Adult 50+ Blend: one capsule daily. Refrigerate.
- Super 8 Immune: one capsule a day, with or after a meal. The capsule can be opened into milk or yoghurt, not into anything hot. Refrigerate. The page states 15mg vitamin C per capsule and the authorised claim that vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
- Super 8 Gold: one to three capsules a day, after food and on a full stomach. Adult use only. Not suitable for children. Refrigerate. The page says to consult a healthcare professional if pregnant, breastfeeding, if you have a medical condition, or if you are taking medication.
- Super 5's lozenges: suitable for adults and children. Allow one lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Do not chew or swallow it whole. The page says xylitol can have a laxative effect if a lot is consumed at once, and to stick to the recommended intake.
Digestive enzymes
The enzyme pages say these are enzyme-only formulas, with no herbs, vitamins or bacteria, and that they do not need refrigeration. They also state there are no authorised UK health claims for digestive enzymes.
How those pages say to take them: one capsule before meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. For a heavy meal, a second capsule may be taken during the meal. Capsules can be opened onto food that is not hot. In case of ulcer, do not take on an empty stomach.
