Bifidobacterium is the genus most associated with the large intestine, and its relative abundance in the human gut is generally observed to decline with age. This formula is weighted accordingly: 30% Bifidobacterium across three species, where the standard adult blend carries 10% across two.

Microbiotic labels quote either the count at manufacture or the count guaranteed at the end of shelf life. The second is lower and more useful. Udo's declares both — 34 billion and 20 billion. Many products publish only the higher figure without saying which it is.

Potato starch (carrier), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (vegetarian capsule), Lactobacillus rhamnosus (HA-111) 20%, Lactobacillus casei (HA-108) 30%, Lactobacillus acidophilus (HA-122) 10%, Bifidobacterium bifidum (HA-132) 10%, Bifidobacterium longum (HA-135) 10%, Bifidobacterium breve (HA-129) 10%, Lactobacillus plantarum (HA-119) 10%, ascorbic acid (antioxidant), stearic acid (emulsifier), silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent).

Gluten free. No added FOS (fructooligosaccharides). Contains traces of milk and soya which are used in the manufacturing process.
