The statements below are already on the Udo's Choice product pages. This page gathers the sourcing, the standards those pages cite, and the questions those pages already answer.
Who makes them, and who sells them in the UK
The Ultimate Oil Blend pages say the oil is manufactured in Canada by Flora Manufacturing & Distributing in Burnaby, British Columbia, using a seed oil blend sourced from the USA, and that it is imported and distributed in the UK by Savant Distribution, Leeds.
The Beyond Greens page says the gluten test was done by the same manufacturer, Flora Manufacturing & Distributing.
Standards the product pages already cite
- Ultimate Oil Blend: certified organic seed oils, cold-pressed and unrefined, packed in amber glass.
- Beyond Greens: certified organic throughout, every plant ingredient. The page says an 8g serving starts as 33g of fresh ingredients.
- Beyond Greens gluten figure: the page quotes a Flora quality assurance statement dated December 2024, with a result below 10 parts per million. It also states that the Great British threshold for a gluten-free claim is 20 parts per million, and that the page is giving the number rather than making that claim. The ingredient list still declares barley, wheat, oat and rye grasses, plus sesame and almond, and may contain mustard.
- Enzymes: activity is declared in FCC (Food Chemicals Codex) units. The Enzyme Blend page says there are no authorised UK health claims for digestive enzymes.
- Microbiotics: counts are published at manufacture and guaranteed at expiry. The Super 8 Immune page says there are no authorised UK health claims for live bacteria. Several microbiotic pages state the products are FOS-free and contain traces of milk and soya from the manufacturing process.
Authorised claims the product pages already use
Ultimate Oil Blend: alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2g of ALA.
Super 8 Immune: vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system. The page states 15mg vitamin C per capsule, 19% of the reference intake, and says this is the only product in the range able to make that claim.
Beyond Greens also lists authorised nutrient claims already printed on that page, including vitamin C and the normal function of the immune system, iodine and vitamin B12 and normal energy-yielding metabolism, and vitamin K and the maintenance of normal bones.
